• Recommender Choice: My current supervisor will not be writing a letter of recommendation on my behalf. We make up a two-person team and I am concerned that sharing my plans to depart for business school at this time would jeopardize my employment and our relationship. I have instead asked [], who served as a professional mentor to me.

• Undergraduate Transfer: I spent my first year as an undergraduate at [] University and later transferred to [] University. Though I enjoyed my time at [], made great friends, and succeeded academically during my Freshman year, I chose to transfer because [] offered a student community that was a better fit and provided great opportunities for me to get involved in activities and serve as a student leader.

• Round Choice: Though I originally intended to apply to McCombs this fall, I decided to push up my application timeframe to take advantage of the unique and extended deadline. Additionally, while I have enjoyed my time at [] and continue to learn a tremendous amount, I do not believe another year at the firm would provide the same opportunities that a McCombs MBA would. I am excited to grow my career in a new direction and know McCombs will bring me closer to achieving my goals.
