I am lucky to be supported by a strong community of family and friends whom I can always rely on. My parents have always been the strongest pillars of support in my life and have encouraged me to take well-calculated risks, experience different cultures, and explore the world in whatever capacity I am able to. They were thrilled when I mentioned my plan to apply to LBS. After I returned from my EUROPEAN CITY secondment at the end of 2016, my parents noticed a change in me. While I have always been excited about travel, I began actively seeking out more international experiences, both personal and professional, and living abroad was no longer negotiable for me – it became mandatory. My time in EUROPEAN CITY allowed me to develop more maturity and perspective than I had in the previous few years combined.

Similarly, when I discussed the idea of pursing an MBA at LBS with my close friends, they were ecstatic. In fact, my friends in London initially planted the idea of attending LBS in my mind several years back. They knew of my international motivations, and given my ties to London, they thought it was a great option. Several of my friends have pursued or are pursuing an MBA, and they agree that an MBA is the ideal next step for my career because it will provide me a launching pad to change industries, relocate to London, and develop the managerial and strategy skills that will help me to be successful in investing. Additionally, my friends believe that LBS is the best fit for me as it would allow me to live in the financial hub of the world and have unmatched access to the top venture capital firms in Europe.
