Driving west from the east coast, there’s a roadside sign that always made my day: “Welcome to Michigan: Great Lakes, Great Times.” Four years removed from my undergraduate days at Michigan, the prospect of passing that sign again makes me smile. This MBA candidate and Ann Arbor will have some catching up to do after teaching and working in the private sector. She never knew me as a runner. She knew a foodie who frequented Zingerman’s Roadhouse. Today, I am a vegetarian marathoner. While some things have changed, at least one remains constant: Wherever I go, Go Blue!
