Describe your career goals. How will an MBA from Ross help you to achieve those goals?

My long term vision is to serve as President of our family’s organization, ABC Manufacturing, and maintain the momentum my grandfather and father have built by acquiring the necessary capital, opportunities, and people to effectively grow the organization even further. Prior to serving as President, I will become the General Manager of our largest store. To be successful in both roles I must continue to improve as a leader, develop industry-leading operational and marketing strategies, and build an exceptional business culture. A Ross MBA will provide me with the necessary training, experience, and network to accomplish my goals.

I will pursue an emphasis in Strategic Management and Marketing to gain a deeper understanding of the principles on which extraordinary companies are built. Specifically, classes such as Continuing a Legacy: Leading a Family Business and Strategic Brand Management will equip me with the tools I need to obtain capitalization to fuel our growth strategy and engage in an industry-leading marketing strategy. Ross’s Action-Based Learning philosophy is the ideal supplement to convert the intense curriculum into practical experience, and Ross’s Leadership Initiative perfectly aligns with my vision of what a successful automotive group will look like in the future. Extra-curricular clubs such as the Manufacturing Club will enhance my network within the industry, and the Entrepreneur & Venture Club and Net Impact Club will further my entrepreneurial development and train me to make a greater impact at work and within my community.

The component that invariably draws me to Ross the most is the phenomenal culture.. Ross’s focus on teamwork, further exemplified by the Multidisciplinary Action Project (MAP) program, will enhance my interpersonal development and enable me to become a stronger leader and more versatile teammate.
