What will you contribute to the Yale SOM community, and how will being part of it help you extend your professional vision?

I share Yale’s commitment to community and service. My history of service includes effecting change as an officer in my Dartmouth eating club, helping my community as a Launch Leaders and representing analyst initiatives on the BLOOM Junior Council.

I will continue serving at Yale, where its small program allows student voices to be heard and drive change. I hope to lead through student government as a student life committee representative, working with administrators and mobilizing diverse groups to enhance the student experience today and tomorrow. This leadership experience will provide deployable skills in consulting and business management. The MBA program’s curriculum promotes a symbiotic relationship between it and the broader campus. In April, I observed Yale’s commitment to exploring concepts from every angle while attending State and Society. I was amazed by the perspectives presented in the course, expertly facilitated by both business and law school professors. The cohesiveness of their discussions and those of the students, contributing from their own diverse backgrounds, enabled a multifaceted dialogue and greater engagement. I look forward to sharing my own financial and engineering background while absorbing my classmates’ perspectives. Evaluating problems from various viewpoints will prove invaluable in consulting and beyond.

I plan to take advantage of learning opportunities at Yale’s School of Drama, exploring my passion for theater with courses such as Principles of Marketing and Communications that teach the fundamentals of audience, positioning, pricing, and campaign tactics in theater production. While enhancing my artistic perspective through interactions with the drama students, I will also contribute business perspectives developed at Yale and knowledge from my Equity Capital Markets background raising proceeds for blue chip companies. Establishing a company for distributing theater will require integrating business and artistic perspectives, and I feel I can bridge these interests during my time at Yale.
