Please introduce yourself.
Hi there, my name is []. I grew up in [], Florida spending much of my early years exploring nature, directing home movies, and playing tennis. I stopped playing tennis in early high school after boys started beating me—a mistake I never intend to make again. As a teenager, I discovered distance running and my passion for the sport has only grown throughout the years. Though my plans to run the New York City Marathon this fall may be hampered, I take comfort in knowing that the running community will always be there, fancy medals or not. I am especially grateful for the community I have found running with [], a non-profit that creates programming for and supports athletes with disabilities.
I love to cook and have had quite a bit of time to explore my craft during this period of COVID-19 social distancing. My greatest quarantine feat to date was deep frying “Nashville” hot chicken without burning my apartment down. I’ve also been trying my hand at song writing and am taking an introductory physics class online.
I first fell in love with Austin, TX on an Alternative Spring Break community service trip as an undergraduate at [] University. Despite my unorthodox tourism, the city enchanted me and I always knew I’d return. I hope that this introduction is the first of many as I would be honored and excited to continue my professional journey at McCombs.
