Share your short-term goals. Share your long-term goals. How did you arrive at these goals? How will Tuck help you achieve these goals?
What are your short- and long-term goals? Why do you need an MBA to achieve those goals? Why are you interested in Tuck specifically?
Share your short-term goals My goal is to further develop my in-car entertainment concept for autonomous vehicles. I believe autonomy has the power to change the world – from shrinking our energy footprint to reducing deaths. The design element appeals to my inner artist, and given low market saturation, the $33.8 billion market is ripe.
Share your long-term goals In 2017, female founders received only 2% of venture capital dollars, a disheartening statistic that initially made me question my entrepreneurial ambitions. To temper this concern for the next generation, my goal is to become an angel investor and venture capitalist with a focus on female founders in high tech.
How did you arrive at these goals? My goals stem from my desire to make this famous slogan a reality – “The Future is Female”. Since a young age, my parents instilled in me an appreciation for science and engineering, and yet, I was bombarded with messages that a woman’s place was not in a laboratory. Reintroduced to the public during Clinton’s historic Presidential campaign, this mantra has become my rallying cry and I am committed to making an impact in male-dominated industries.
How will Tuck help you achieve these goals? Tuck’s Operations Strategy and Global Strategy & Implementation coursework will help me understand how operational competencies and growth strategies lead to value creation and competitive advantages. Moreover, the VCIC will help foster relationships with mentors that could provide incomparable insights and potentially serve as seed investors. Fully cognizant of the uphill battle facing entrepreneurs, I am confident that my passion for autonomy, my past startup experience and dogged persistence will result in a successful enterprise.
