If you have visited Haas, please let us know what about your visit made the most lasting impression on you. If you have not visited Haas, what steps have you taken to familiarize yourself with our MBA program?
I visited the Haas campus over the summer and attended the September Information Session in Phoenix. Having the opportunity to speak with current students and recent alumni, I was exceedingly impressed by both the intelligence and the friendly spirit displayed by the Haas student body. I was also impressed by the diverse students who represented a myriad of ethnic, professional and social backgrounds – as alumni Chuck Williams stated at the Information Session, “One of the greatest thing about Haas is that you will not meet another individual who is just like you". In fact, everyone I have spoken to consistently expressed that learning at Haas is really through establishing valuable relationships with other students. I am very excited about the Haas culture that emphasizes collaboration and sincerely believe I will benefit greatly from working with a group of equally motivated and unique individuals.
Within the classroom experience, the teamwork aspect of the Haas education is reflected through its requirement for at least one group project in every class. Working in a firm with significant international exposure, I have come to realize the importance of leveraging from a diverse group of peers. The small cohorts handpicked by school faculties will allow an intimate and diverse learning experience. Outside of the classroom, the student facilitated clubs also provide tremendous opportunities for establishing valuable relationships. Capturing the globalization and cross-functional integration of the student body, I believe the experience Haas provides will be valuable as I aspire to become a future leader in the business world. I also believe the friendships I develop with my classmates, through class discussions, club activities and traveling together around the globe will have tremendous impact on all of my future personal and professional endeavors.
